Hospitality is my middle name and eating gumbo is my game. RouxGaroo Adventures was my 1st true love and our marriage is stronger than ever. I believe hospitality is an art form and can't wait to meet and exceed your expectations. I've assembled an amazing crew of fun-loving freaks and weirdos that share my passion for the art of conversation, story-telling, and adventure. I'm here for you, so let me know if there's anything you need—and most of all, welcome to New Orleans!
Jack Reno Sweeney
I'm RouxGaroo's resident local history expert and head tour guide. I make it my business to know as much as I can about New Orleans—and then some—so I can share it with y'all. I'm always happy to help you figure out the streetcar routes or recommend restaurants (from corner store fried chicken to Haute Creole!), whatever you need to have a good time in my beloved city!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you pronounce RouxGaroo?
ROO-ga-ROO. A RouxGaroo is a cajun werewolf, the most feared creature of the swamps.
How can I find my tour guide at the meeting place?
All of our guides wear purple captain's hats. You can see them from a mile away!
I cancelled my tour. Can I get my deposit back?
Deposits are handled by the concierges at the hotel where you made your reservation, and we are unable to refund them ourselves.
What should I bring with me on the tour?
We recommend that you wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water! New Orleans is hot, so you'll need plenty of both!
